Student Guidelines

1.

Backpacks must be stored in a student's locker (there will be sufficient time to retrieve items needed for each class during the passing time of five minutes.)
2. All cell phones must be left in a student’s locker, except during X-block when their use is permitted in the café/commons area.
3. Hats, scarves, curlers, bandanas, sweatbands and/or similar head coverings shall not be worn within school building during the school day. No bare midriffs.
4. Clothing that advertises substances that are illegal for teens (drugs, alcohol, tobacco products) or language or writing that is otherwise inappropriate or offensive (sex, profanity, racial or ethnic slurs, gang-related attire, etc.) may not be worn.
5. Footwear must be worn at all times.
6. Students shall not dress in such ways that undergarments are exposed.

 7. Senior parking will be located near Human Services off Spellman Drive. Parking is not allowed in the Human Services lot itself. The junior parking lot will be located in the new lot across from the baseball field.
 8. Student ID's must be worn so that they are visible during the school day. Parents will be called to pick up their child if the student has three or more infractions in one month. The student will be marked absent unexcused for the day.
* If the ID is lost or stolen, students must order a new ID in the office at a cost of $5.

9. Student registration forms and emergency forms are due to homebase teachers on opening day.
10. Water, in clear containers/bottles, is allowed during the school day except in designated areas such as the Library/Media Center and computer labs.
