Selective Service

A special message for young men
17 and 18 years old.

register on-line at: www.sss.gov

Selective Service NOW accepts early submission of registration information by 17-year-old men. Students who register at age 17 will have their information held by Selective Service until their 18th birthday, at which time they will automatically be registered.
Under federal law, virtually all men must register with Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday. Failure to register may be punishable by law and prevents the student from accessing federal financial aid for college.
Registration can be done at your local Post Office, but the easiest way is to register on-line at www.sss.gov
